Celebrating Happening Gourmand’s 10th Anniversary at Kyo Bar

I love Happening Gourmand. Not as a blogger but as a Montrealer. This yearly event is the reason why I first set foot in Old Montreal for dinner 10 years ago. My younger self always thought of Old Montreal as a neighbourhood that was too expensive or even too high end for my friends and I. I remember going multiple times with different groups of friends for a month and having such a great time everywhere! It was also a great chance to just walk around the neighbourhood and find other places I’d want to go back to. It’s great…

Looking back at 2016 and getting ready for 2017!

December 31st finally has come! I love taking the time to review my year to actually take in what I accomplished (and didn’t!) in one year. I decided to split it in 3 categories for 2016: Work, Travel and Lifestyle. Work It was definitely a great year for me! I’ve been working with the same two clients I’ve had for 3 years now. Five Gift Ideas Discovered At Dînette’s Pop-Up Shop!

It’s that time of the year when we’re all freaking out on what to get for our loved ones without going broke but also actually finding the perfect gift! For once, we could actually walk around without bumping into…

A Glimpse of Web Summit

Montreal State was happy to attend the 2016 Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal this past November. Here’s what our newest writer, Rayelle Matthews, has to say about the conference! Known as “Europe’s largest and most important technology marketplace,” this year’s summit hosted over 50,000 attendees spanning across 150 different countries. Needless to say, it is a huge event in the tech sphere with some of the world’s leading industry figures presenting on everything from data and politics to fashion and sports. Noteworthy…

BALNEA Just Changed The Spa Game

I was invited to a press event about two weeks ago at Balnea. Located about 1h15 away from Montreal, the location is perfect to get rid of any stress. What makes it special compared to other spas is the beautiful land they own, which includes trails for hiking or running and also a beautiful lake for swimming and paddle boarding. Another reason why I favour this spa is the fine dining experience their restaurant offers, and there’s high chances you’ll want to get a bite if you’re going to drive all the way there. After making all the bloggers go…
