3 Ways to Start Your Morning
I don't know about you but I've grown to be a morning person. I strongly feel like what I do and consume will define my mood for the rest of the day so I really care about my morning routine nowadays. But at the same time, I don't like doing the same thing over and over again! I also don't necessarily want to drink coffee right away and usually wait until 10am for my first cup unless I'm heading straight to the gym.
Over time, I've become used to starting my day one of 3 ways depending on what's planned after:
1 - The Bulletproof Way
If it's a workout morning, I will skip breakfast until I get back and have a Bulletproof coffee instead. The mix of coffee, butter and coconut oil makes this hot drink delicious and really gives me a boost in energy. Here's a video I made recently on how to make it:
2 - The Mate Way
If I'm in for a really busy day of work, I'll want a cup of Mate to wake up quickly and be able to focus on work. It also happens to be rich in antioxidants!
Some might find the taste of Yerba Mate too strong though so there are some pretty good tea blends that include mate along with other great ingredients. The latest that I tried is Lovely Morning by Lov Organic and it's delicious!
3 - The Hot Water Way
My all-time favorite way to wake up is definitely with a cup of hot water and lemon juice! While I rehydrate after a full night of sleep, the fresh lemon juice also helps to boost my metabolism. I also like adding slices of ginger or curcuma to the mix. You can get all of those ingredients for cheap at PA Nature on Park!
