4 Terraces To Add To Your Montreal Summer List

#1 - Rooftop Terrace at Newtown

Newtown

After going up a flight of stairs, a beautiful and intimate terrace can be found on the rooftop of the restaurant.  The area is loaded with comfortable couches and also an indoor area in case it's too windy or it rains for a few minutes.

For this summer, Newtown is also proposing a Mojito menu and I totally fell in love the me "El Pimms" version based on a Pimm's Cup.

So next time you need a break from the shopping craziness, make a stop at Newtown for a cocktail and a bite!

#2 - Les Terrasses Bonsecours

Terrasses Bonsecours

If you're in a party mood, Les Terrasses Bonsecours is the perfect location! Start the evening at the very green bistro and order one of their famous sangrias. Then move on to the club for some dancing!

What's different about this place is that they're by the water without any neighbours. So if you miss the days when loud music would play on every Montreal terrace, you'll feel right at home at Bonsecours!

#3 - Terrasse sur L'Auberge

I almost feel bad for writing about this terrace because it's so beautiful that I'm afraid too many people will start going! Terrasse sur L'Auberge is the rooftop terrace of L'Auberge du Vieux-Port and like me, I can bet you had no idea the boutique hotel even had one!

The view is breathtaking on both sides since the terrace goes from St-Paul to De La Commune. It's also the new hot stop to watch the fireworks as there is not one single building on the way (note that there are fees for those nights)!

The menu is also handled by la Taverge Gaspar, the restaurant shared with the hotel. So go for a glass of Moët and a fish & chips next time you're around, you won't regret it!

#4 - Bota Bota Terrace

How about mixing fun and relaxation? Bota Bota is my perfect idea of a terrace. After completing one round or two of their water circuit, you can head over to their bistro for a cocktail or a full meal by the water.

Beds and hammocks are also available so don't forget to bring a book while you're at it!
